PURPOSE OF JOB

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Accounts Reconciliation Associate is responsible working closely with our Finance and Health Services Operations team. The primary responsibility is reconciliation of client accounts, accurately maintaining member records on the health insurance administration system, processing new business documents, scanning and filing correspondence.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile and follow-up on premium bill discrepancies.
  • Ensure all Broker Payments received are reconciled.
  • Add/Amend member records.
  • Add new business to health insurance administration system and issue policies.
  • Accurate update of unit logs, as required.
  • Ensure that renewal rates are accurately entered into health insurance administration system.
  • Calculate and distribute monthly premium bills by the monthly deadline.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • A collage diploma or university degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in finance reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal team and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must pursue and obtain a professional designation in life or health insurance, such as HIA, within two years of employment.
  • A strong team player that can provide support to others when necessary.
  • Knowledge of computer software, Plexis and Docushare would be an asset, but training will be provided.

The salary range for this position is CI$40,000 to CI$45,000.
